A popular choice for those who are a bit less adventurous is Selvatura’s Tree Top Walkways which consist of a 3 kilometer trail that crosses through the Monteverde Cloud Forest.
You will walk on eight different bridges with various lengths ranging between 50m to 170m and altitudes ranging between 12m up to 60m.
The duration of the hike usually takes between 1.5 and 2 hours.
Entrance Fee: $30 for adults, $25 for students, and $20 for kids (6 –10 years)
Guided Tour: Walk along the trail with a guide and learn more about the natural history. Guided tour costs $45 and does include transport. Tour starts at: 8:30am, 11:00am and 1:30pm.

Selvatura Canopy Walkways

The Sky walk is located half way between the town of Santa Elena and the Santa Elena Preserve. Walk along trails and suspension bridges and get a vision of the forest’s flora and fauna from a different perspective. The tour starts with a walk on the ground before you explore the treetop; a rarely explored habitat, called the “canopy”.
There are five bridges in total, the longest spans around 984 feet. The trails (about .,5 km) are well maintained and generally very flat. Local guides accompany each tour and help visitors to learn about native plant and animal species. Duration of the tour is about 3 hours.
Tour starts at: 7:30am, 9:30am, 11:30am and the night tour at 5:30pm
Prices: $35 for adults, $28 for students and $22 for kids. Does not include transport.
