Rancho Maximo is located just 12.5 km from the Santa Elena Cloud Forest, right next to the San Gerardo Biological Station in the mountains above Arenal Lake. This area is home to many animals, old growth forests, and is the Golden Oriole breeding ground.
Horses are the vehicle of transport to this camp. There are no roads or cars here in the beautiful natural world. Enjoy the slow pace of a world where horses set the pace. The trip is 12.5 kilometers.
